 ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Department was established in the year 2012 with the UG program (B.Tech in Civil Engineering) and is one of the oldest branch of KITS. The department has been imparting quality education to meet the technological advancement and industrial requirements. The present intake for the undergraduate program is 120 and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad  . 

The Department is involved in Material Testing work, offers consultancy services and conduct training programmes for students and faculty. Students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Industry Institute interaction is nurtured by organizing and coordinating frequent industrial visits, Expert Lectures, Seminars.Reputed companies like GMR ,TELANGANA WATER GRID PROJECT&CUBE ASSOCIATION,

“To become and stay as a centre of excellence in the field of Civil Engineering and contribute for the building up of better living environment, infrastructural facilities and protection of natural resources”

1. To adopt, monitor and maintain qualitative teaching learning process.

3.To establish laboratories with state of the art equipment and facilities and meet the academic, research and consultancy needs.

4.To develop strong linkage with relevant industries, institutes of higher learning and reputed research organizations.

5. To contribute for the society by producing qualitative civil engineering graduates and also by conducting service oriented training and development programmes.

            With reference to the above cited, this is to inform that industrial visits amounting to 11 weeks during the course of study are introduced for certain diploma courses for which 6 months/1 year industrial training is not included in C-14 Curriculum.

            Accordingly, the schedule of industrial visits and Industrial Training spread over from 3^rd SEM to 6^th SEM of C-14 Curriculum Diploma students of all courses (except DAA, DAE, DHMCT and 3½ year Diploma courses) as shown in the Annexure which was approved in 1^st Board Meeting of Telangana State dt: 17-06-2015.

            Hence all the Principals are informed to circulate the above among the Staff and Students concerned for strict compliance with immediate effect.
